Winston Salem Dermatology & Surgery Center is proud to announce the arrival of “Vanquish”, the latest in fat-reduction technology.

“Vanquish” uses a focused-field radio frequency to zap fat without ever touching the patient’s body. It is approved for deep-tissue heating, a known method for targeting fat, and has minimal side effects.

The patient undergoes six sessions, spaced seven to ten days apart. During each session, the patient lies underneath adjustable arm-panels that are positioned around specific areas of the body which have been targeted for treatment. Sensors built into the device can detect the patient’s body fat, and customize the amount of energy the machine will deliver during each 45-minute treatment.

Vanquish radiofrequency waves pass through the skin and are targeted at the underlying fat. The fat is heated to 52 degrees Celsius (or 126 degrees Fahrenheit) and is destroyed. The process is painless and the skin feels nothing more than it is being warmed by an electric blanket.”
